There are three classes of membership in the Sage-ing Guild. For those persons who are certified by the Guild as having completed a Sage-ing Leaders training program, we offer Professional Sage-ing Leader membership. For those who support the philosophy of Sage-ing and the work of the Sage-ing Guild, but who are not trained Sage-ing Leaders, or are Sage-ing Leaders but not presently actively involved in Sage-ing work, we offer Associate membership. Finally, we honor a very few persons who have been exemplary in their role of developing and promoting Sage-ing work by naming them to Wisdom Circle membership.

The benefits of membership vary for different membership classes, but generally include the following:

  1. Email communications: The Coordinating Circle (CC) maintains an up-to-date email list of all members to allow rapid and frequent communications of Sage-ing activities and opportunities. We are planning to begin an e-newsletter in 2007.
  2. Networking: The CC has set up a Listserv for members to facilitate information and idea sharing among us. Our Guild website has an up-to-date calendar of events (member workshops, classes, training, etc.), links to affiliated groups, merchandise sales and organizational (mission/vision/members/regional groups) information. We maintain a password-protected portion of the website for Professional Sage-ing Leader members that includes program ideas (workshop models, teaching strategies, networking information, success stories, etc.), practice development strategies (creating relationships, identifying your market, publicity, etc.), helpful resources (book reviews, stories, poems etc.), and advanced leadership training opportunities (training programs and calendar).
  3. Regional associations: The CC has established six regional groupings for members, to facilitate communication and cooperation within smaller geographical areas.
  4. Global Conferences: The 2004 SL conference in CO was truly a blessing. We see a clear need to hold similar conferences of SLs in the future. We are working on plans for a national conference in the spring of 2008.
  5. Mentoring: The Guild intends to establish a mentoring program, in which relatively new SLs can connect with more experienced SLs, benefiting both.
To become a member of the Sage-ing Guild, please fill out and submit our online membership form. You can pay your dues online or mail your check to the Sage-ing Guild office. Contributions of any amount are gratefully accepted from all persons supporting our vision and mission. Your support and membership will help us all to
